    Step 1. Shut Down the System

    First of all. to reset the forgotten password of macOS Catalina once you need to shut down your system in case it turned on.

    Step 2. Boot to the Recovery

    Well, to get into recovery boot, you need to power on your Mac and press Command + R from the keyboard until the apple logo appears on the screen.

    Step 3. Then you need to select a language and click on the Continue.

    Step 4. Open the Terminal from the top menu.

    Step  5. In the terminal windows, you have to type there reset password and hit the return key.

    Step  6. After that, choose the account which you have forgotten the password if you have created multiple accounts then it appears too.

    Step 7. Create a New Password

    After choosing the user account, simply type the new password and hit enter.
